Fledglings October News 2026

FLEDGLINGS PRESCHOOL & NURSERY

October 2026 Newsletter

Welcome to our new families

A very warm welcome to all of our new Fledglings families! It has been lovely to see how well all of our new children have settled into nursery.

We are so pleased to see them becoming familiar with their surroundings, making new friends and building lovely relationships with the team.

Home Observations & Family

We love seeing what our Fledglings get up to at home, so please remember to complete your home observations and upload them to Famly.

These are a wonderful way for us to share your child’s experiences, interests and achievements outside of nursery and help us build these into their learning.

Please also check that your child’s Famly profile and information are fully up to date, including contact details and any important information.

Upcoming Festivals

We have lots of exciting celebrations coming up over the next few weeks!

We will be exploring Halloween, Bonfire Night and Diwali through age-appropriate activities, stories, music, sensory experiences, creative activities and lots of opportunities to learn about different traditions and cultures.

And we are super excited about Christmas!

We will be sharing another newsletter soon with more information about our festive plans, so keep an eye out!

Home Project Packs & School Uniforms

Home project packs and uniforms will be sent out this week for our preschool children (those going to school this September).

Please remember to name clothing

With the cooler weather arriving, please make sure all of your child’s clothing is clearly named.

Coats, jumpers, hats, gloves and spare clothes can easily get mixed up, particularly when we have lots of similar items. Naming everything helps us make sure belongings find their way back to the right child.

Wishing Jo a speedy recovery

We would also like to send our very best wishes to Jo as she continues her recovery.

We are missing her at Fledglings and hope she is taking plenty of time to rest and recover.

We look forward to seeing her back with us when she is ready.

Get well soon, Jo! ❤️

Thank you for your continued support.
