Children’s Transitions During the month of January, we have been supporting some of our children who have started settling sessions in their new rooms. We have also welcomed new families to Fledglings this year. All the children are settling well and are enjoying experiencing new and exciting opportunities. We hope this will continue . You can view your child’s development at Fledglings on ‘Learning Journals’ and can also contribute home observations if you wish to do so. As always, if you do have any questions please feel free to speak to a member of the Fledglings team and we will be more than happy to help you with your query .

Practitioner updates

Chelsea- We have welcomed back Chelsea who has been on maternity leave . Chelsea has really enjoyed her time with her little girl, Gracie- Victoria and is now looking forward re-joining her Fledglings family again and has super ideas to implement!

Baby Ralph -We would like to congratulate Steph on the birth of her beautiful baby boy, Ralph! He is simply adorable!

Nursery Fee Increase

Due to the forthcoming government increases to take effect from April 2022, we will be increasing our daily fee at Fledglings. The new rate will be £65 per day and will 4 come into effect from April this year. We have been advised to increase the fees significantly but due to high occupancy at the nursery we have been able to keep the increase to a minimum . Please speak to a member of the management team should you have any questions regarding this information.

Covid Update

We are aware that the Covid rules seem to change every day! From Monday 17t h January 22, people who are self isolating will be able to reduce their isolation period after five days with negative lateral flow and no temperature . So for instance, if you test negative on the morning of day five and the morning of day six, you can return to nursery . Please remember, if anyone in your household has Covid and you wish to send your child to nursery, please ensure your child has a negative lateral flow up until the isolation is complete.

Nursery trips In the upcoming months, we are hoping to provide opportunities for the children to take part in trips within the local community . We will contact you in advance to obtain permission and share risk assessments if required. At Fledglings, we are always looking out for new and exciting experiences for all the children to take part in. If you have visited an amazing local place recently, please let us know and we then can hope fully let everyone at Fledglings join in the fun too!

Open Day

We were really sad that we had to postpone our open day . We hope to arrange an alternative date very soon and will notify you when we do. Remember, you can always request a video call if you wish to do so! In the meantime please take a look at our beautiful Fledglings…the team have been working extremely hard to create a cosy, homely environment for our children. (P.s.
