FLEDGLINGS NEWSLETTER – October 2014
Just a few notes to keep you ‘up to date’!
Parent’s Forum: I mentioned at our Parent’s meeting that we would be holding a Parent’s Forum meeting shortly – this will take place on Thursday 16th October at 7:00pm at the nursery. We will be discussing the disco, Christmas party and anything else you wish to raise.
Christmas Cards: This year, your children will be producing individual Christmas cards which we will be sending away to be printed, they will be available for you to order before printing in packs of 10.
Term dates: Sessional care break up for one week on Friday 24th October, returning Tuesday 4th November. Daycare continues as usual. You should have received by email the dates for this coming academic year, please let us know if you haven’t got it and we will send you another copy.
Parents Night Out: There is a mums night out at Piccolino’s in Bramhall on Friday 21st November at 7.00pm for drinks and/or food. Please ring Viki 07786542576 to let her know if you can go.
Christmas Party: All children will be invited to our Christmas party on Monday 22nd December at 10:00. Further details will be sent nearer the time.
Packed lunches: Please remember to name your children’s packed lunches, it is very difficult to try and match–up children with their lunch if it is unnamed.
Duvet Covers: If you have any used duvet covers children’s or bright colours, that you could donate for us to use for making tents and dens, we would really appreciate it.
Dressing up: If you have any spare dressing up clothes, or any of ours that have made their way home…? Please could you bring them in? Many thanks.
Disco: Saturday 8th November 10am-12noon Moss Hey School Hall. This event is usually very popular with all the children and is a perfect opportunity for parents to meet up socially. We have lots of fun, games and dancing at the disco. The disco is a family event, and therefore it is necessary that a parent attends with their children. Siblings up to the age of 8 are also welcome to attend, but will need a ticket. Under 1s are free! The £4 cost includes a drink and a hot dog, there will also be sweets and drinks on sale for the children and teas and coffees for the adults. Please complete the slip below and return your request, together with the correct amount of CASH in a named envelope for the attention of the Parents Group to the office at Fledglings by Wednesday 5th November. There are a maximum number of people allowed in the hall due to fire regulations, so please get your request in early to avoid disappointment. We will not be issuing a ticket, all requests are on a list and we will sign you in at Moss Hey front entrance.
We would be grateful for donations of home-made little cakes or cookies that we can sell on the morning of the disco. Please complete the slip below if you are willing to bake us a dozen and bring them in either on the Friday or the morning of the disco. Many thanks. Please name any containers you wish to get back!!! Thank you in anticipation of your help
We also need a small number of parent helpers on the morning of the disco, if you are able to share childcare with another parent and do an hour each or stay behind to help tidy up, this would be much appreciated.
