Macmillan Fundraiser

Dear Parents and Carers, Grandparents, Aunties and Uncles …

On Friday 27th September we will be taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

I’m sure like myself many of you will have been affected by cancer and have experienced the effects this has on people lives.  Macmillan offer support to those affected and their families at this difficult time.

Macmillan offers support in so many ways, £250 could pay for five people living with cancer to attend a health and wellbeing event. £335 could pay for a Macmillan grant that helps a family affected by cancer. £546 could pay for a Macmillan Social Care Worker for a week, helping patients, family members and carers manage the social and practical problems of living with cancer.  £1023 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for a week, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.

On Friday 27th September we will have cakes for sale from 8:00 – 9:30am so you can grab a treat on your way to work to enjoy with your morning coffee.  From 4:00-5:30pm we will be hosting our coffee afternoon in the pre-school room.  You will be able to enjoy tea, coffee and cake with or without your little one and have a chat with some of the staff and other parents from the Nursery.

If your child does not attend Nursery on a Friday please still feel free to come along, we would love to see you there. We also welcome Grandparents, Aunties and Uncles to join us too.  If you are not able to make it but would still like to donate, please Text our unique text code TEATQG4 to 70550 to donate £5 to Macmillan.

As mentioned in our newsletter we would also really appreciate donations of any baked goods. If your goodies are homemade please provide a full ingredients list so that we can check for any allergens. If you plan on faking it instead of baking it, please send with the original packaging.

We look forward to seeing you there and we hope we can collect lots of pennies to support this amazing cause.

Thank you in anticipation of your support.

Natalie and all the team at Fledglings.
