September 2018 Newsletter

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back to those who have been on holiday and a big welcome to the new families that have started with us over the Summer and those who are just about to start.

Staffing: We are sad to tell you that Elena Rogers will be leaving us on 21st September.  However, we are very excited for Elena as she embarks on a new adventure living in Spain!  Elena will be coming to our fun day on 8th September and we are having farewell drinks in the Bubble Room in Bramhall on Friday 21st September at 6:30pm, if you would like to join us.  Molly Platt will be moving into preschool and taking over Elena’s key group of children, which will be a huge help in settling the children into their new room, as they will have a familiar face waiting for them.

We are delighted that Chelsea Gardiner is joining our team on a permanent basis.  Chelsea has been working here over the last few months as supply staff and is familiar with lots of the children.  She will be working in the playschool room, three days per week.  Chelsea is qualified and experienced in working with young children.

Clothing :Please can you check that your children’s jumpers, shoes, wellies and coats are named? As many children have shoes and coats the same. Converse trainers are not suitable for indoor shoes as children of this age cannot get their feet in them easily, lace them up and tie them, we are trying to encourage independence and therefore anything with Velcro is recommended. Please do not send your child in wearing jewellery, this can become caught up in dressing up clothes and dangerous during PE or outdoor activities.

FAMILY FUN DAY: We would love to see you all at our 25th birthday party on Saturday 8th September. Please pop in between 10am and 2pm.  There will be soft play, bouncy castle, pony rides, face painting, glitter tattoos, refreshments, ice cream, games, crafts.  We are also hoping to have ‘beat the goalie’, so would appreciate offers of help for half hour slots from suitable ‘goalies’ (Mums, Dads, older children).  No previous experience required (everyone must score!!)

Car Park: DO NOT PARK IN OR WALK ACROSS THE SCHOOL CAR PARK AT ANY TIME.  To avoid traffic congestion outside school, Moss Hey operates a one way system.  Enter via Langdale Road, go all the way to the top, turning right into Eskdale Avenue, follow the road all the way back down to the school.  Please park considerately, not blocking resident’s driveways and not on any road markings.  Our entrance is around the fenced pathway.  It is very busy around 9:00am and 3:00pm due to school collections.  To comply with the terms of our Lease and our safeguarding policy, parents and carers must not park, and children must not be allowed to walk across the car park at any time.

If you have any questions regarding any of the above, please feel free to telephone the nursery.

Best wishes,

Julie
